while working on the (dis)comfort issue, i came across an art installation and a photography website that both focus on the feeling of discomfort. i just revisited the pages, and now added them to the issue. the links are up here, in the page with related links and thoughts: re: (dis)comforting art.interesting sidenote - there is an exhibition upcoming on a smililar theme: Abstract Resistance. the opening note for it seems also fitting for the 2 websites: "Making sense of the artworks requires a shift away from the common expectation that art equates with beauty."
