i try to feel something
for you
deep in my heart
but you skim the
calm surface
like a flat smooth
stone.



the architecture of pillows

in the night
a fan blowing wind
each pillow
like a cold boulder
on top of Mt. Everest
each one
serves its own
sweet purpose.
