meteor shower
the sky so patient
an anxious ceremony of
waiting
wisps of life rays of light
and i am
waiting
for the stars to come out.

I think the instant would have more impact re-arranged as follows:
Patient sky is
an anxious ceremony
just waiting:

while I am
waiting - waiting
for twinkling
of the stars.
